When a house needs paint and a roof, the order matters. Top down, so nothing finished gets marked by the work above it.

The roof goes on before the trim is touched.

Tear-off and new shingles shed grit, nails and granules down every wall below them, so on a house that needs both, the roof comes first. Asphalt, metal or designer shingles, or wood shake, laid by roofers who are fully licensed and insured.

Flatwork · Power washing

Wash before paint, never after.
